Paper Dragonfly Creative Challenge #12 "Merry Craftmas"

Hello! Today I'm sharing my DT project for Paper Dragonfly Creative Challenge #12

"MERRY CRAFTMAS"

My inspiration for this project came from the "Crafty Sandy Oddleigh" digital stamp from Leigh SBDesigns who is also sponsoring this month's challenge.

For this challenge I created a gift card holder and wish list notepad using the Crafty Sandy Oddleigh digital image.  Crafty Sandy is peeking out from under the "mistletoe" and there are pockets to hold a gift card and a few other goodies.  Crafty Sandy is mounted on the card which slides out and the backside of the card is a notepad that the recipient could use for making their wish list when they head out to the craft store for more supplies.

Materials Used:
LeighSBDesigns digital image:  "Crafty Sandy Oddleigh"
CTMH "Christmas Story" paper and embellishments
Copics and glitter pens
mini gems, and other embellishment fr. my stash

Paper Dragonfly Creative Challenge #11: Autumn/Fall Dragonflies

Today I'm sharing my DT project for Paper Dragonfly Creative Challenge #11

AUTUMN/FALL DRAGONFLIES

My inspiration for this project came from the gorgeous digi collection of dragonfly themed papers, Fall/Autumn sentiments and flower images from this month's challenge sponsor
I created a card using some of these lovely digital images.  The palette for the background paper I chose was so soft and dreamy, not your typical fall colors, but so lovely!
I decided to use my chalk pastels again to color the flower image in keeping with the soft pink and coral tones.  The pink wax seal on top of a fairy image in her garden seemed to fit right in, looks a bit pinker in the photo but I thought it went nicely with the colors in the dragonfly background paper.

Materials Used:
Papers, floral images and sentiment from We R 3
Kraft colored card base
Chalk pastels: pink, coral, green hues
Gold shimmer pen from CTMH
Jelly Roll Pen-clear star
Ribbon from my stash
Wax seal stamped with fairy image

Paper Dragonfly Creative Challenge #10 SPOOKTACULAR

Today I'm sharing my DT project for Paper Dragonfly Creative Challenge #10

SPOOKTACULAR

My inspiration for this project came from the "Stack 'O Carved Pumpkins" digital art stamps from Leigh SBDesigns who is also sponsoring this month's challenge.

It was fun creating this spooky Halloween shaker card and breaking out some of my old markers, but when I realized I didn't have an orange marker I had to get creative using my rusty hinge distress ink with yellow marker and an orange chalk pastel.

This card will look festive on it's own or tucked into a trick or treat gift bag.

Materials Used:
LeighSBDesigns digital images:  "Stack 'O Pumpkins"
Martha Stewart Halloween themed paper
Echo Park paper- arsenic & lace
CTMH shaker window foam and acetate
Tim Holtz distress ink- rusty hinge
Promarkers: soft green, cinnamon, tulip yellow
Copic marker-black
Jelly Roll pen- clear star
Posca pen-white
CTMH gold shimmer brush
sequins
CTMH dragonfly stamped on vintage book paper

I'll leave you with a glimpse of another card I created to tuck into my Halloween album using "Fae Folk" digitals from LeighSBDesigns.  Not for this challenge, but I loved this image so much I just had to have a play at making a digital creation too!

Time Flies Paper Collage

Hi there!  Sharing a paper collage I created for one of my calendar inserts in my daily carry travelers notebook.  I use several travelers notebook style journals and enjoy embellishing the covers to create my own look.  I buy blank notebooks and then embellish them as I wish.  It's so fun and allows for a lot of creative experimentation.

I loved the theme "Time Flies" for the cover on my calendar.  Very fitting don't you think?  I just learned that the old saying "time flies when you are having fun" was actually a quote from Albert Einstein.  I must be having a ton of fun because time is certainly flying by!

Thanks for taking the time to visit!

Studio Destash Has Begun!

Well, I've now been in the new house for almost 11 months and still haven't finished unpacking 😏

I've made a lot of progress given the business of life and still working full time... but not nearly finished, actually just begun!

In the meantime I'm making attempts at clearing out a smidgen of my supplies hence the DESTASH.

If interested please check my eBay auctions.  I'm starting some so low it's practically give-away.  My eBay seller name is Thymeforme.

Here's a link to a couple of auctions that are currently live for some FSJ rubber stamps, and stay tuned for more auctions in the near future!!

Are you DESTASHing too?  If so post your links below.  As they say.. out with the old in with the new (or new to you)!

I'll try to remember to bump up this post and update as new items become available!

Little Buzzy Bee Book

I'm working on a new journal but got side-tracked.  Couldn't resist this adorable mini book kit from My Porch Prints Etsy!  Everthing you need to create this super cute little book!  I added some handmade paper, laces and embellishments, and used my favorite gold shimmer brush pen to add some honey-gold accents and a little brass bee charm dangle.  So much fun I may need to make another soon!

There are three signatures sewn in to the book cloth binding and the book has 60 pages front and back with lots of fun surprises and embellishments.  This mini junk journal measures 3.5 x 2.5 inches.

I'll try to post a few pics of the inside of the journal, but I fell in love with this cover and can think of so many uses already for it for other projects.

Sweet Rain Song-- Anything Goes Challenge

Posting a cute little card I created using papers and embellishments from my stash, and a retired stamp from FSJ.  Loved the neutral colors and bits of vintage ephemera.  I entered in the following ATG challenges for July:
